History
The story of EFC/Wesco closely parallels the advancements and technological changes occurring in the electronic component industry. Since 1981, the full story of EFC/Wesco is one of people, places and products that reflect our core values of integrity, quality, commitment and innovation.
1981 – Electronic Film Capacitors, Inc. founded by Guy Bedrosian with Jay Weiner as director of operations
1986 – Moved to our brand new manufacturing facility and current location
1999 – Jay Weiner becomes principal owner of Electronic Film Capacitors, Inc.
2001 – EFC acquires Wesco Electrical Company, Greenfield, MA
2006 – Electronic Film Capacitors and Wesco Electrical merged to form EFC/Wesco
2009 – EFC/Wesco received ISO 9001:2008 certification
2014 - Jay Weiner retires and Angela Sousa, Bob Fountain, and Len Gelonese become principal owners of EFC/Wesco
2017 - EFC/Wesco upgrades to ISO 9001:2015 certification
